We've shown you all kinds of Vintage Fashion Forward ideas here on Vintage Indie, but today we are going to the street. Today's Street Style Profile comes from Aimee of Los Angeles (currently studying in San Francisco). She's shared her three most favorite looks and why they work for her.
Look 1: I gave this vintage boyish blazer a new look by just changing all the buttons to gold buttons. I balanced the blazer with a mini skirt and tried to keep the outfit interesting with fish net tights and ankle boots.

Look 2: When I first saw this blazer, I totally fell in love with it because of the stripe patterns and where the location of these buttons. However I did do a slight alteration by removing the massive shoulder pads.
Look 3: This is my absolute favorite vintage jacket. It once belonged to my mom and I did a major alteration as it was a bit big and gave it a new leopard print lining. This jacket literally goes with almost everything in my closet and I wear this the most whether I'm wearing a girly dress or just a casual outfit.
In my opinion, there is nothing more unique than incorporating
vintage pieces to your outfit. If you see something that you like but
isn't in your size, don't be afraid to still get it (as long as it's
not too small) because you can always alter it and you know that you
won't find another piece like that. I love mixing vintage pieces with
new modern day clothes and also love mixing styles. I normally don't go
all the way girly, or all the way edgy but like to mix them around. I
think one of the most important thing in dressing whether it's vintage
or not is that you need to first feel comfortable in it because then,
you get so many ideas on how to style it and feel confident. =)
