As I mentioned before, we are quite busy getting ready for our little sweet baby girl. It will be the first time there will be two ladies in our home and I can hardly wait. I thought I'd show you a few sneak peeks of what we've been up to in her nursery.
This is her vintage dresser, a Craigslist score. I scoured for months to find something and was pleased as a peach to have found this dresser.
To prepare the dresser, I sprinkled a generous amount of my favorite cleaning mixture. A blend of baking soda with organge and lavender essential oils. I shut the drawers and let the baking soda do its job for a couple of days. When it was time, I swept out all of the powdery mixture and then wiped the drawers clean. They now smell fresh and clean!
This part was kind of lucky/easy for me. I have a knack for eyeing things, and sizes of things (sometimes anyway). I found these shoebox plastic bins with coral lids at Target. They came in a pack of five. Just enough to fit in the second drawer of the dresser.
After cleaning and washing, all of her little onesies and outfits fit in the bins just perfectly for the first set of clothes N-3months. The larger drawer on the bottom is filled with the next sizes through 12 months.
The top drawer is thinner and we've added a sock organizer for all of her socks, hats, leggings, blankets and diapers.
I hope you enjoyed this sneak peek into our nursery makeover!
