I used Grammarly to grammar check this post, because my copy editor has a full time job.
Blogging and reading blogs can be an overwhelming feeling at times. There is so much content to read, catch up on and only so many hours in the day. If you are like me, one blog leads to another blog which leads to another blog and time just flies.
What is RSS?
Without getting too technical you can visit this link at Wikipedia for exact terminology and a more detailed look at RSS.
The RSS Reader is the most important part of RSS, it is the platform in which you can organize all of your favorite blogs and even Etsy shops. So when they update, you have all of the new posts and updates all in one spot without having to blog hop and you can even tag them!
You will first need to have a "reader" account. My favorite used to be the Google Reader, but since they've shut down I really like Feedly! Feedly is such a fabulous resource because you can read your feeds magazine style, list style, expanded style and many other ways. I love to use it on the iPad. With one swipe, you can mark each article as read. Find it on the iPad or iPhone and for your Android as an App.

Once you have a reader of some sort you'll want to click on the little orange, round button (see image above) It is on the top right hand side of Vintage Indie's Home Page next to the other social media button.
Once you click you are taken to the steps provided in your feeder to "subscribe" to that blog or shop. After that it's home free and you will start feeling less overwhelmed with keeping track of websites & blogs! Click this link to add Vintage Indie in your reader now!
Next up, if you aren't connected with us on Facebook. We'd love to have you join our page. Sometimes we need your help and post special questions, offers and more there. It's easy to "Like" us on Facebook. Follow the Facebook button top right hand corner next to our RSS feed button.
Next, we're on Twitter! if you're a twitter user, follow us there too. There is a handy button for that as well next to our Facebook button.
Last but not least, we'd love it if you'd like to share some of our content. We've made it easy and put our social media sharing buttons at the bottom of each post. You can Like, Digg This, Tweet, Google +, Favorite and PIN it! That's right, we're onPinterest, if you'd like to see what we're posting there!
We're also on Pinterest! If you'd like to see what we're posting there! It is also easy to pin one of our posts.
Whew! Now we're all caught up on Vintage Indie Social media! We hope to have some super awesome giveaways for you in the next couple of months and I wouldn't want you to miss out.
Have a grand weekend!
