Hello dear friends,

I hope you are finding yourself calming down for the winter. Do you wish that sometimes you could hibernate from the rest of the world? I do, I get lost in all of the busyness of Christmas. I'm trying to stop, breath and just enjoy life around me. This includes the laughter that fills my home and the excitement this time of year brings.

The internet can be a whirlwind this time of year, with sales here, specials there, shopping, shopping and of course more shopping. Sometimes it can be overwhelming. I know I'm not the only one, I've been seeing it all over blogs this past couple of months. I don't want to loose site of what this season is about. I don't want to loosen the tie that bonds family together. I'll be taking next week off to pull my family as close together as possible and to make as many happy memories as I can with my children.

I want to thank you for visiting me here at Vintage Indie this year. Thank you for your sweet comments and your lovely emails. Thank you for your constant support for what I do. Your passion for creating is contagious and your strength to keep your businesses alive is an inspiration. I'm truly humbled by this independent world that I've found myself in the midst of.  I believe wholeheartedly that small businesses, family and slowing down life is a must.  We can't loose site of the important things, which by far are not materialistic. Take this new year as an opportunity to seek out what is most important to you. Strive to really embrace your goals and failure won't stand a chance.

I wish you and your family the Merriest of Christmases and the best year to come that you could ever imagine.
