I'm very thankful for my lovely contributing editors. They have provided me with some wonderful things to share with you this week. I hope to be back to posting as soon as this house stuff is settled. We are hopefully only a day away from listing it on the market. Until then, I leave you with Susan Duane's love for vintage. xoxo - Gabreial
It's no secret I love old things. I love the history they carry. It's in their imperfections that I find beauty; the signs that they were once loved and cherished. When I peruse an estate sale or antique market and I find something I'm drawn to, I can't help but wonder where it had been before but I also try to look at it in a new way. Taking it from forgotten treasure to a reinvented piece that will be enjoyed for years to come. My taste is simple but feminine and romantic.
For awhile I collected some beautiful vintage beaded collars and wanted to update them. With the addition of some handmade rosettes, some sparkle and a little added room at the back, these collars were given a new life. Since they were quite small in size I added pretty vintage pearl beading to one and the other a ribbon tie these simple modifications allow them to be worn by most any size.

What vintage goodness have you picked up lately that you just couldn't live without?
