Organic & Whole Living: Household Product Challenge Part 4 - Water Bottle Alternatives
How is your household product challenge going? Are you getting rid of all of the nasty stuff in your home? I sure hope so. You will sleep so much better, I promise.
Today, I have a great water bottle alternative for you. Have you heard of the ever-popular Klean Kanteen? They are the original BPA-FREE alternative to plastic bottles. They use high-quality, 18/8, food-grade stainless steel. Not only is this stainless steal healthier for you, but it is also durable! That comes in handy when you have two boys, that's for sure.
I decided to try out our new Klean Kanteen's at the Zoo this past week. The night before, I washed up the Kanteen's and filled them up with filtered water. Into the fridge they went.
The top left bottle is their new Klean Kanteen Wide Insulated. I claimed this one. After all, I am the coffee drinker in the family. The taller 27oz is my husband's Klean Kanteen Wide. Both of these came with their Wide Loop Cap, but I chose to replace my wide loop cap with a Wide Cafe Cap.
I love the fact that based on what you are doing, you can change out your cap. Of course the Cafe Cap makes it safe and easier for on the go when I'm driving. I like the loop cap for snapping the Kanteen's onto our backpack. Either way they stayed nice and cold all day long, especially the insulated Kanteen.
These two Klean Kanteen Classics were for the fellas. They both chose a color and it was amazing, they both were very happy with their choices. I love it when it's simple like that. I can't tell you how much I love color to define who's is who's, it makes life easy. The boys did great all day at the zoo with their Kanteen's, the only thing I would change is the cap. They offer a sports cap, so that you don't have to worry about one of them walking off and leaving without their cap. I will be sure to pick up one of those for each of us.
In case you are wondering about that cap, this is what I picked up from Klean Kanteen. "Caps made from safe, BPA-free polypropylene (pp#5)are lightweight and also cost-effective, enabling Klean KanteenĀ® to create a handcrafted product of exceptional quality at a reasonable price." I think that's fair enough, don't you.
Overall, Klean Kanteen creates a durable, fashionable and wonderful alternative to Plastic Bottles. We won't ever go back to plastic bottles! Oh, and if you do happen to have a broken bottle, cap or manufacture defect, Kleen Kanteen offer's a one year manufactures warranty! How about that. (see website for details)
I truly appreciate Klean Kanteen for sending us these four bottles to review. I'm thrilled to be able to share all positive things about Klean Kanteen with you from real life experience.
